RX8s are great cars. It's no secrete they have no torque. Of course it will lose to a 335i in a straight line. Much like a Ferrari F430 will lose to a Camaro set up for drag racing. That's not really a very impressive kill.

LOL for a partial answer to this I suggest don't consult your thermometer, consult your BS-meter instead.

I drove the RX-8 before I bought the S2000.

I can write paragraphs and paragraphs about what I thought about the car, but I'll sum it up it is slow and boring (compared to the S2000).

Ok ok it seems like I have offended some RX-8 fans. Sorry, I guess I don't HATE the car, but there is something about it I just don't like. But no need to get your panties in a bunch, say you hate S2000's or the 335i, I won't mind. I respect everyone's opinion.

The S2000 is a really nice car. Better than the RX8. It has one of the best gear boxes ever made, and it's a Honda so it's well made and reliable. I fail to see how the RX8 copied it though.

I don't know, I thought the headlights and tail lights looked similar. Now that I think about it though they really don't. I don't know, I just don't like it...

The S2000 differentials were shite.

That sucks. I didn't know that. I've owned Acuras, but never a Honda S2000. I have driven a few S2000s though. Overall were you happy with it?

Extremely. I have posted before that, given a second chance, I would have held on to the S2000 and passed on the 335i.

The differentials were fine for normal, even hard driving. But no car is made to be "launched" every day. Which is what you would find alot of Honda owners doing. Boosted S2000's were even worse on diffs. They just weren't designed to take a beating.

As I understand it, '08 is the last production year for the S2000. Well, that's the word on the street. Honda will replace it with another roadster. Specs on it have been "leaked." People are saying that it is going to be more along the lines of Miata competition. Lower HP, lighter. This has led to mass hysteria in many s2ki threads

He is moronic to attempt a race as torque is certainly not considered a strong point in the car.

You also just substantiated the BMW stereotype. Congratulations.
lol i like this choice of words... sounds like a smart guy... but the overall message is chidlish.

and for the record... i dont hate the rx8. one of my friends had one but his engine died at 16k miles and he ended up getting an entirely new engine for the car... have no idea why he kept that... but anyways the rx8 looks cheap... and there is no point of making that car a 4 seater when you can only fit anorexic models in the back.

And S2000s suck compared to Elises. There is always something better out there.

LOL on the 4 seater comment, It's just like the Mercedes Benz- CLS, I never understood why it was a 4 door car, when it obviously should have been made into a two door coupe.

coz we have nothing else to talk about i guess....this forum isnt as helpful as it used to be when i first joined...or perhaps i've spent too much time here
anyway my thoughts...i was in love with rx-8 shinka before i bought the e90...saw the price tag on a mazda stealership: $33,000-$35,000 i forgot the exact price i saw but it was nearing $36,000...all that for 2 suspension adjustments, black cherry paint which some call the mazdagay color, beige leather, piano black accent and stitchings on shift knob & steering wheel....
http://rotarynews.com/node/view/472
never raced one but i think it looks nice..and thats as far as it goes....an evo or 350z are in the price range of rx-8...

I keep seeing one bizarrely challenged thread after another. I don't mind threads that involve the Non-readers asking obvious questions nearly as much as the threads and posts that are just goofy pseudo Machismo and adolescent fantasy.

However I think you should probably STOP reading threads. Based upon your writing ability you've lost too many points already.
