Wow to the news. That tells me the m4 really is a monster.

Read up on DTM rules. It isn't really an M4. Basically the body resembles an M4, that is about it.

I fully agree, but maybe that would help them build a decent motorsport derived turbo engine.

AMG wins in F1 now from two fronts (1: They are more successful with Hamilton, and 2: They have access to the F1 development of turbo technology to use in road cars.)

I was going to mention this. If I understand the DTM rules correctly, it's in many ways the German version of NASCAR. The road going M3 has nearly nothing in common with the DTM version, which completely sucks IMO. The DTM rules should be written how they were back in the glory days of DTM. Maybe then the M3 could get back to what it originally was; a detuned, street legal race car sold for homologation purposes.

All brands use a 4.0L V8. The cars in the series share a lot of parts now like the monocoque chassis, for cost saving. It is a spec series.
