**GTR Pics For You Guys!**
There was a pretty big meet at SupremePower on Saturday, and the show stopper was this red GTR.
The guy had this for 1 day and spent aproximately 13k on the CF lip and full titanium DP back exhaust! (Yes, the exhaust is full titanium!) I caught myself drooling a couple times--seriously! Check out the size of the exhaust tips!

beautiful...what company makes that exhaust? it looks fantastic. the lip is nice too; though I can't believe it cost $13k ! the lip alone is like 20% of the car's value...wow...hehe

The exhaust alone was around 11k. I absolutely love BMWs, but this car takes the cake! After reading all of the reviews, It's so unbelievable how well it performs.

I think I was wrong.
I believe that the 13k includes the following in this picture. There's also an ecu mapping as well. .

Why I find the exterior and interior to look very 1980's Mitsubishi , I guess retro is back in. I don't find the car attractive at all with styling cues from cars made 20 years ago.
The rear end reminds me of a Ferrari. to each his own. But to me it does not look like an expensive car. Just look at the headlights. They don't even follow the lines and creases of the car like a BMW does. While the engine may be nice, no effort went into the styling and a sa result it will not stand the test of time. Much like the Mistubishi 3000GT.

Obvious on that car that most of the money went somewhere other than the interior. Then again, if that's really all that important to you, then you're missing the whole point. It isn't a GT car.
Anyway, those tips are beautiful.

Too bad the appearance of the car does not match it's performance.
I have only seen pictures of it so far. I would like to see one in person. I think it looks OK, but not something that you lust for just because of the styling. I definitely respect the stock performance. I'm looking forward to see what improvements the Spec V will have. It will also be interesting to see what the tuners accomplish with this capable platform. Without running drag radials or slicks, I wonder if this car could possibly turn 9 second quarter mile times? |
