It's for social media. I'm hearing rumors it was Alex Choi. He's notorious in the LA car scene for being a spoiled entitled brat. Until these social media platforms stop incentivizing people financially to do crazy stuff for more views/followers, this stuff will continue.

I read it was a rental, too; no details beyond that. Evidently the car was abandoned and LA's finest are looking for the driver. Seems this is currently being viewed as a hit & run since two cars were hit as a result of the stunt.

It was from Choi's channel, and happened on a drive he set up, but he wasnt the one driving. The full video shows he was on the side recording. There's also an angle from his own dashcam from the side. Apparently someone wanted to show him the place where Dobrik jumped his model Y. And just didnt understand physics at all
