E9x Combox (Bluetooth 6FL 6NR Internet etc)

Hi,

I've got a E9x combox & the connector you need to retrofit this if you have a MULF / TCU already.

I think everyone knows what this does - stream music, bluetooth, Internet etc

Just got a 320d business edition m sport with wide screen sat nav I drive usb in armrest and glove box hard drive and base plate.

All that jazz and no iphone 5 playback

What version / age is your CIC?

The only thing you might have to do, is update the CIC firmware.

No idea mate just picked the car up this morning only to discover iphone doesn't work.

How do i check version?

Car is 320d m sport business edition manufactured may 2010 (i think

It'll probably need updating mate. You'll need to find a coder to do it.

How would one know if they had a MULF/TCU?

if you have sos button and your car build date > 09/2010 - you have combox telematics
if you have usb socket in armrest and car build date > 09/2010 - you have combox media
if you have sos button and your car build date < 09/2010 - you have tcu
if you have usb socket in armrest and car build date < 09/2010 - you have mulf2high
if you have sos button and if you have usb socket in armrest and your car build date < 09/2010 - you have tcu and mulf2high
if you have bluetooth function, but do not have sos button and and car build date 2007/03< > 09/2010 - you have mulf2

My e90 build date is May 2010, I have SOS button, I have USB and 3.5mm in armrest, I have TCU in the boot but I couldnt find the mulf2high?

You didn't look hard enough.

It'll be under the TCU

its not the combox that needs coding - it's your CIC
