radio not clear after upgrade

I have installed a pioneer avh 5600bt head unit and connected a aerial adaptor for the radio. The problem i have is that no station is clear at all they all crackle but when i had original hu it was crystal clear. Does anyone else had a similar problem

make sure power antenna wire is connected in the harness. this is almost always the culprit, since the antenna amp needs power.

ok what wire do i connect the power antenna wire to on the harness?

So I looked up your model on Crutchfield, and it says it doesn't fit my E90.

Closest model I could find was the AVH-X4600BT, and it recommends installing a
Metra 40-EU10 adapter
as an antenna adapter for the unit.

Going to guess you never got some sort of antenna adapter?

iv got 2 adaptors one is simple plugs from original aerial to the stereo and the opther one has a amplifiers which has a power wire. i have tried both but still doesnt improve quality
