The Riu properties in Cancun are great.

Go see the main show at Coco Bongo - in Cancun's entertainment district. It is like Circque de Soliel with an open bar and great comedy and music thrown in, and then turns into a major party after the show. Total must do in Cancun.

If you don't mind me asking are you single?

If your single, then the spot to be is Cancun. I love that place. Like some of the other posts look into Riu's all inclusive resorts they are honestly worth every penny. Cancun is a must go place, I think, if you have the means to travel.

Eat and drink all you want for a week and all the clubs and nightlife you need is out your door.

Bahamas is cool as well. Although it's more of a relaxing place whereas Cancun is more of a get shit faced drunk every night and party place

if you want night life definitely go to Cancun. All of the major resorts will run a "night club package" each night. You pay about $50, which includes a bus to the club, your cover, and all you can drink....at all of the top clubs in town.

Also, go see the Mayan ruins at Chichen Itza and Tulum, pretty spectacular. If you're adventurous, you can rent a car and drive there, and avoid being herded like cattle on the package day tours

Chichen Itza isn't really worth the long drive any more, you can't climb up it anyway. Although, if you have time to kill I'd go see it.
