Xenon Bulb
Hey guys, just found out that my passenger side low beam is out. However, it only stops working after 5 mins, if I turn the lights off and on again, it works perfectly fine for another 5 mins then it goes out again.
I have noticed from the reflections off the cars in front of me that the passenger side seems to be slightly more yellowish? So is this a bulb problem or is there a weak connection somewhere? Thanks |

agreed on ballast. same thing happened to me, you can buy a new OEM part for ~$500 from a reputable place, or an "OEM" one from fleabay for ~$100. I opted the ebay route and it's working well, so far...

I agree with buying an eBay ballast for 100 I just got one shipped for 90 with a free bulb both oem. But if I were u I would also pick up the same bulbs I got from khoalty. Com 6000k and the set is 45 for both bulbs and they work great and look wayyy better than the oem 4300k bulbs.

Yeah swap ur other bulb over and see if it's still acting funny. If its a bulb I think there is a guy selling oem bulb right now for 20 bucks in the sale section.

If your doing bulbs.. I just bought some Osram Nightbreaker Unlimited Xenarc D1S bulbs that should add 70% light!
http://www.osram.com/osram_com/news-...ails/index.jsp Seems like a nice upgrade for more light

You don't need to take off the bumper to replace the ballasts. DIY instructions: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=883738

Did you have to remove the bumper? How did you do it on a e92?

Did it through the wheel well, small hands would be highly recommended for this job. |

Yes, they used Osram from the factory. I bought my replacement bulbs from Amazon and compared the two; the difference is the OEM bulb is stamped with the BMW logo and costs 3x as much.
