The ZR1 is would destroy a Ferrari F430. It's not even a fair comparison. The Scuderia would be a better challenge but it would lose too.

PS read my posts, I never said I didn't like the Corvette in the first place.
We can shoot each other until we run out of bullets, you like your M3, and I'm sure part of your justification for arguing your invalid point so much is because you want to justify your purchase.

You don't have to, enjoy your car.

I'm driving a Ford Focus now, and I think I'm having more fun than you.

I know you can't put a price on prestige, but 30 seconds is huge difference. And you should try driving a Z06, as it doesn't feel "low tech" at all. Personally, I wouldn't care if it had salmonella laced peanut butter sandwiches for the suspension and a lawnmower engine if its a world class performer and has great feel. But that's just me.

But take a minute to think about that... a 65k Corvette beats a $150k Ferrari around the Ring by 12 seconds and your are fussing about the suspension. It sounds like the suspension is doing just fine.
Sorry I meant the Z06, slip of the keyboard. Anyway even if it was a ZR1which is a GREAT CAR SUPER FANTASTIC EXCELLENT I 'd still choose the Ferrari.

My thinking sometimes is faster than my writing, you are correct. Z06 it is.

But that doesn't mean I'm [b] LYING[/B} I'm not a walking encyclopedia though I know a bit about cars if I say so myself.

If you are having more fun in a Ford Focus than I do in my M3 you must be driving like my grandma and I knew that since we started this conversation.

Anyway now I have to obey a guy who just sold his 328i and drives a Focus and don't know anything about racing, forever. Poor me.

Seriously Robin Hood, are you a car enthusiast or just a BMW fanboy, because you simply don't know much about cars.

6.2 = 6.2 Liters, which the LS3 engine is. There was a smaller output LS2, but they don't make it anymore.

Like I said, the C6 crushes the E92 on the Nurburgring or Hockenheim.

Lyndon, NewSong(my master) told me I was lying...but I 'd say I wasn't informed very wel at that moment, and the pages of my carmag were sticking together blahblah.

But now I know, don't mess with a Corvette...or a guy in a 05 Ford Focus.

I wouldn't say everything well...but it's a capable car. Steering is vague and too easy (as if weighted for joe average driver), the car dips dramatically to the outside front corner on cornering, the motor has great grunt but runs out of steam at high rpms, the brakes look far better than they bite, and high speed stability is scary. Easily a jack of all trades and master of none. But what do you expect? It's a 4 door hatch with a nicer track suit. Good effort to create a coupe from a hatch which was never designed to wear performance wheels/rubber. The next generation will be far better, which is why it'll have a very short 3 year lifespan.

A great whole package it's not. But seems most just care about stratight line performance. It can benefit greatly from more downforce and lower CG, and a decent set of coilovers.

I found it to be not so fun, which is why one isn't sitting in my garage (anymore). But maybe I just have higher expectations than most???

Now back to the stupid vette vs. 335i debate...

Let's call it dyslectic, I it was on the other page(seriously) whatever.

I don't call 0.2 seconds crushing and I don't know a lot about Corvettes you're right but a bit about cars and motorsports.

I can show around some of our racingtracks in my car around here and I guess you won't say any word about it again. You are the car enthousiast and know a lot about cars, I'm the driving enthousiast. Come on over to Western Europe, I'll show you how it's done. No NASCAR sh1t, just real driving.

There was a 3% drop in GDP this quarter which can be contributed to the ongoing discussion of the C6 vs. 335i.

Well I've been pricing out E92 M3s, and they are getting cheap now days. Maybe I'll do European delivery (especially if BMW does 8% off MSRP for ED as has been rumored on M3Post).

Want to catch lunch if I do?

Munich is about 600 miles from where I live, Cologne about 200, Hamburg about 200, Bremen about 150...

IF you 'd buy a E9x M3 don't expect a lot of torque below 4000rpm and don't expect many mpg.

Cool

I just came from an E92 328i, and now I'm in a 2005 Ford Focus BASE, the torque should be fine.

The MPG will probably suck, but I suspect most people buying a $65,000 car don't mind too much.
