Every single on of you are hypocrites for giving this man shit. We've all done some spirited driving at one point or another. We've all launched our cars; accidents happen, simple as that.

Also op, you're at fault, the car wouldn't break down like that from a hard launch. It was obviously from the previous accident.

Maybe next time you'll fully wrap your car around the poll!

Wouldn't it be great if daddy still paid for everything. Thanks for the condescending tone though.
Oh and I hit a road sign, at impact I was probably going 5-10 mph
I am amazed at the number of people here who think they are the perfect driver. People bring up the one accident I've ever been and think I should ride bike or the power is too much. And a second incident probably related to the first (which I wasn't even driving) is enough to deem me a poor driver. I mean f*ck there are over 6 million accidents in the US a year.
But yeah I was being stupid, the public road I was on had no traffic in sight, so I thought I'd have a little fun.. I don't risk anyone's life but my own when I choose to drive "spirited".

A little fun is o.k. Just be careful you don't hurt someone, or yourself.

Yes you are correct. That's what I get for typing to quickly. But it still doesn't change the meaning of what I said.

Couldn't have said it better . "Op" bro shit happens man I'm sure it was an accident but you just gotta take it easy sometimes. Obviously it's ur car so ur the one to blame. This could happen to anyone at anytime and I kno for sure half of the people throwing rocks at you does stupid shit like this all the time so don't worry about it bro just take it easy and get ur car fixed. It's an "M" I would probably hammer it from time to time also : )

How do you know this? Over the years I have seen any number of rear ends ripped out of cars on a hard launch. You get axle tramp & they will break very quickly. BMW's are not noted for the strength of the rearends but its usually the half shafts that let go. A member here with a not so powerful, but above stock car tore his up on a launch including the drive shaft.

Based on the kids comments & history an abused 2008 was a perfect candidate for what happened.

Hypothetically even if it wasn't from the previous accident, years of abusement would be the reason why this happened. If a performance car can't handle a hard launch, it shouldn't even be called a performance car.

OP is at fault since he allowed someone to operate the vehicle he owns.
