And having a rear camera standard is all fine and dandy, but does Hyundai have a system as sophisticated as iDrive? And in the future, carbon fibre in their chassis? Are the engines better than BMWs? BMW R&D doesnt fool around, they invest in the real expensive innovations, and that is a part of the cost difference between BMW and Hyundai. |

But to comment on a auto manufacturer saying they are making a copy when your build was essentially that (1m/m3 parts, and a bunch of fast and furious parts slapped on) was just very contradicting in itself - I laughed out loud so hard in the office. I would take that mid engine joke over the special 328i auto with quad exhaust pipes any day of the week. C'mon man. Stop it. |

Just remember Mercedes dismissed them when they said they were going to build a luxury car - Equus.... S-Class for 60% of the price. I know of a couple of people that bought the Equus, that had been Benz drivers.
I'll wait to the unveiling of the other car. Just curious.

If these little things perform nearly as well as a BMW M, then I'm all for it. I will not replace my M, but I will buy these Hyundai N and take it to the race track for a fun track day with no regrets. I wouldn't feel as bad trashing a $40k car as opposed to an $80k M.
And to some people badges>>products. For example: if you were a big shot business consultant working for Mckinsey or other large profile consulting company and you were invited to a black tie event with other big executives and the conversation turns from business to pleasure (in regards to motorsports) would you rather say "I drive a BMW M(3, 4, 5, 6)" or "I drive a Hyundai N". Not everyone is shallow, but a lot of people attribute cars to success (or a deep trust fund left by parents). |

I'm all for more competition. Let's see what the Koreans have up their sleeve.
I wonder if Hyundai's N series will include a N3 and N5 for starters?

WRX / Evo killer.
For the "Fast and Furious" demographic I guess.
