ENTD and NAVD is gracenote and navigation data, you cannot update them using esys.
You can ignore them. Last edited by TheNine90; 08-22-2023 at 05:44 AM.. Reason: you can update them using esys to you cannot update them using esys |

Thanks 90, I think that my FSC A0 might be missing/gone as I may have clicked "update FSC" in FSC status, comfort.
I have asked for a repair FSC pack on cartechnology which I'm hoping will move me forward. I have another F10 from Japan to do as well so hopefully that one will go smoother. I'm still a bit in the dark tho as some have said that the A0 status should be accepted after a flash of the nbt. I'm trying to get these Jap ones to accept ECE maps. Navigation has remained greyed out ever since coding with the changed VO and have remained so even after flashing... Any advice gratefully received. Thanks |

I reformatted the usb drive using windows and a program called guiformat and extracted the zip file using 7-zip to the usb and now the map update is recognised!! it is on 20% and i will soon know.
MacOS was not able to format the usb drive in a way that the usb was recognised by BMW |

Hi guys, I recently had success installing Australian maps on my 2013 Japanese-spec 320i with an NBT system. I will put my process here just in case it helps someone (though it seems to be a complex matter).
1. Update the iDrive software using the official BMW download -- I didn't do this intentionally for the maps, but who knows, maybe the problem was an unintentional software bug. 2. Recode the VO for the HU and Kombi from 807 (Japan) to 810 (Australia) - I didn't change the language VO; despite leaving Japan I still listen to some music from there, and I didn't want the car to just show boxes in place of Japanese characters. The Japanese language set has English UK anyway. If I feel like adding more languages I will do so manually. Is this a factor in my sucess? I dunno, I doubt it, but maybe it does change one setting too many. After this recode, the Japanese maps wouldn't load; it would just display "Navigation maps starting" whenever I tried to enter Navigation. 3. Load up E-Sys and get the DE file - it should be noted that at this point, A0 was accepted. 4. Use the Jaeger keygen to generate the FSC code based on the DE file. I had a little trouble finding the code for the maps because for whatever reason, the lookup file wasn't working. After a bit of scouring I found the lookup file for download. 5. Put the maps on a USB stick. It must be formatted to FAT32 and it must have the folders with a .nfm file, .pkg file and .pkg.sig file on the root directory. 6. Stick the USB stick in your car, put in the code you generated then let it run. It probably took me about 20 minutes (the accessories shut off once but it restarted once I turned it back on). 7. Success! Now my car is no longer in the centre of Tokyo! |

glad it worked for you. My fsc status A0 never changed to Accepted. I had to get a solution which involved some files on a usb stick, Likely a retrofit fsc set for my vin. All sorted now.

Hi shawnsheridan , I have a used F82 imported from UK to Malaysia with ID6 and it's currently running on Southeast Asia map which I believe the previous owner has did the region change.
I'm planning to update Istep to enable Fullscreen Carplay, would the update revert the region change done by the previous owner? |
