I'll be starting from St. Neots in Cambridgeshire (slap-bang on the A1)
Fom there I'll go cross country towards Kettering, get on the A14 heading West. I'll follow that right through to the end, and jump on the M1 @ Junct 19. We can follow that through to junct 26, then dive off across country again towards Matlock. I think St Neots to M1 will take approx 45 mins. Junct's 19-26 of M1 no more than 35 mins. Junct 26 to Matlock will take approx 40 mins. Total journey time 2 hours (my guestimate). Convoy is always good with me. You can either come up the A1 to St Neots, and we can go all the way together (not in the biblical sense!) or if M1 works better for you I can meet you after junct 19? If Budgie comes up too I'm sure he'll join us, and I'm still waiting to hear if Carlos is coming...

Sheps I wouldn't get off the M1 at 26, I'd stay on til 28.
26 = A610 then onto the A6, which is no fun on a Saturday, it is very boring due to extreme levels of traffic going into Matlock. 28 = A38, turn off at Alfreton, turn right at the roundabout and left at the first set of light you come to from there on in = B Road heaven once you get to Oakerthorpe (you'll get to a set of light with the Peacock straight opposite you) take a right, then your next left and go through Wessington and Tansley, leading into Matlock. Will take less time than the A6 and be more fun, A6 is good in the dead of night but in the day no fun. If we end up going to Buxton - go A6, take a left at Cromford up then your next right and go up the A515 which is a bella road!

Sheps - i would be happy to drive up the A1 to your junction and start from there with you. If anyone else is starting from anywhere near me ie. London or Essex - then i'd be happy to arrange to meet them first them drive up to meet Sheps.

Are you guys coming up the M1? Do you want to meet up halfway up there, or am I complicating things?

Tell ya what if you want we could meet at the Alfreton rundabout off the A38, there is a Services and I'll take ya round some absolutely fantastic roads At the meet itself: I propose we do a North drive out - C&F and surrounding roads, maybe up to Alderley Edge for an afternoon snack, it ain't far. and a South drive out - A515, 517 and the numerous great B Roads that surround, New Haven, Ashbourne then by Carsington Water, up the greatest road on earth to very near the City, Wirksworth etc. Matlock or Buxton will be absolutely fine and cental to set on both routes, though if we do Matlock 515 will be the first port of call to get to Buxton for the C&F.

Carlos - just to make sure its all clear the UK6 meet is Aug 30th/31st. Boo has also mentioned idea of doing a UK track day on another date. I am wanting to attend the UK6 but will only do the sat and drive back. I also really want to do a UK track day before the Ring trip in Sept. I can also make a week day so lets discuss possible dates in the relevant track day post.
