always makes me laugh when people complain on prices .please understand how business works .paying employees ,matching there taxes ,overhead ie:building, lights, heat ect. tax, ins, fee's ect.....this all cost money.and hopfully at the end of the day you can pay yourself. supply and demand if he sells 10,000 kits well he could do it for cheap but when its under 50 or 100 or whatever you have to make money. this seems very reasonable to me too.
sure I wish it was less money but I totally understand why it is what it is ..love the evil capitalism comment ...I also want to ask people how much are you getting paid at your job when they complain about cost of something they bitch about 25.00 when they make 50 an hour.

great job tony !hope you make a fortune

SOOOOOOOOOOOOO SICK!!! Congrats Tony and I can tell everything this dude is a stand up, down-to-earth, friendly guy! If I had another $4k lying around I would get the 600hp kit. Keep it up Tony and I will see you soon!

I can sell you the GT2871R turbo for $2000, that doesnt mean much. If you search ebay, prices are $999 and Vividracing sells it for $1160.

A reasonable price would be $2200 for the turbos. $1000-$2000 for his time spent designing the exhaust manifolds. (Which is a lot). Im sure his labor rate isnt above $100/hr but closer to $60/hr.

The cost of metal used in the kit is nominal...

Instead of making a profit on the turbos which he doesnt modify. He should just charge what a good Christian would, something fair?

Anyhow, I can see if he wanted $6000+ for a one off kit. But if hes trying to sell several kits, at $6000+ is nutty as Vishnu.

Look at Terry, hes a reasonable guy. Makes his profit but doesn't try to kill you which his pricing.

If terry doesnt copy or make his own turbo manifolds soon. I probably will order a set, and have a local shop setup a jig and start welding manifolds.

If Terry were to sell this kit, I could see it priced from $4000-4500 MAX. Not a $6000 intro price which jumps to $7000 or more?

Enough of my non sense... I'm more interested in seeing how far this motor can be pushed.
You have no idea what it costs to make this kit, nor obviously what it takes to run a business. You try to bring my faith into a post because you think you can build a kit cheaper? That shows exactly what kind of person you are. You know what I could build the Vishnu kit for? That turbo is under a grand all day long. I can build the kit for very close to $2000 grand out the door. With everything, that means he is making 4 to 5 grand on each kit, before any of the add on's. The GTX turbos cost me $2600 dollars ALONE. YET, I have never once said Shiv's prices are out of line, as I do not think they are. He is selling a nice kit at a decent price to do what you do when you are in business. You make money. If you think my kit is over priced. DO NOT BUY IT. Problem solved. But to say Shiv's kit is priced out of this world. When he is making 4-5K on each kit and mine is not shows you really do not have a grasp of much of anything in the performance industry, or on pricing in general. Good day to you.

However your stage 2 is reasonable compared to RB.
Seriously you know nothing.
I know what the turbos cost alone.
Tony is not making no where near $4000 profit.
He should actually be pricing these a lot higher in my opinion.
Your thinking of Vishnu's single turbo kit. They might actually be profiting that much since they are only using one turbo instead of two.

You were better off ignoring him, lol.
My turbos aren't dead yet but you can rest assured, I'm calling you with money in hand when they go.
Unless his kit is as cheap as he says it will be.

It is what it is, I hope he sells more than 10 sets but I doubt it'll be easy for him to break past his minimum. Those that have the cash to dump into their car already opted for the fftec kit.

Rape everyone.
Did you also say this about Vishnu's single turbo kit, That also requires all of the support mods. (If you dont already have some of those mods its gonna be around $10,000 plus for all mods plus kit)

It is sad when those who haven't run a business before are chiming on what they believe the price should be? And it is clear by the tone and oversimplified breakdown of things.

There is R&D costs and we don't see the versions or mistakes that have to re-worked before anything comes to market.

Even if it was a 50% margin, the material cost and stocking the kits to be ordered is a large amount of capital to have sitting on the side. If the margin is less, then its even more difficult.

My guess is that the automotive aftermarket industry is "lower volume" and lower % margin that enterprise targeted products (thousands to tens of thousands units, which some are built-on-order and cash-flow friendly) and way below the volumes of typical consumer products (i.e. millions of units and smaller unit costs or dumping the cash burden on ODMs).

I applaud all the "small" businesses that are out there and slugging things out.

Good price. Before we are looking only one turbo but now you have two about the same price.

When will we have stage2 on the tuning and dyno? Im aiming on it.

Great work and keep it up, Tony.
