Or both.

I have broken 100mph, in third, many times. 1/4 mile exit speed is just over 100mph. Steady as a rock.

There must be something seriously wrong with your girlfriend's 328. Maybe she's curbed it?

I think the fact that his gf has a BMW and he doesn't is a problem. When are you getting yours, OP?

+1, the S2000 is an exception.

On the BMW, the brakes started to feel like they wanted to lock up and the steering went from tight and precise to loose and semi-uncontrollable. When I began to slow down, the steering took a hard veer left and the brakes became very sticky. The engine seemed to struggle as it hit 90. In full automatic mode it refused to up shift and stayed above 5k revs.

On the Accord, the steering did lose some of its precision but overall felt the same. The brakes on the Accord did not act any differently then at lower speeds. Also the Accord was doing around 3k revs at 130 and felt like there was plenty of power to spare.

I don't have anything against the BMW for being a sports car but this seems a little strange to me.
Has anyone else actually tested their BMW's potential and had better results?
You dont even own a bimmer and yet u come into a bimmer forum to bash bimmer's.. lmao.. get a life!!

Leave the OP and his CR-V alone. It's got mods. And it treks through mud.

I'm not even getting involved in this one, but here are a couple of facts. My last DD was an '06 Accord V6 EX-L (which I enjoyed very much, honestly) but it was at 3k RPM at 85. The brakes also sucked, and were gone by 45k miles, even with my 95% highway driving and OCD to not touch the brakes unnecessarily.

I'm not a Honda hater, but this just doesn't add up. There's got to be something up with the 328. Bad tires, bad pressures, bad gas, already worn brakes.. it could be anything, or a combination of a few things.

Yeah. Tires are the most likely culprit.

I don't have proof, but the Accord was doing right above 3k once it held 130. The CR-V is a 4speed and does 3.5k at 100 but god forbid I mention that piece of shit. I haven't had problems with the brakes though, maybe the Honda pads are crap, I just use the best ceramics I can get for it.

I'm not a BMW hater and I understand something is not right. I was asking if this is normal which it obviously isn't. I used the Accord as a comparison, but I forgot everyone gets defensive of their cars.

No I just know first hand that they are completely worthless as a wheeler, yet your avatar is it "wheelin".

What suspension set up can you do to them?

What tires can you fit?

Locking diffs?

Over axle springs?

Frame toughness? Enjoy bending your frame.

Oh yeah I forgot its a CR-V....

Despite the other responses, it wasn't my intention to get defensive or flame. Just trying to point out why people might be saying what they're saying.
