Well then you might learn some more by this picture 😊
What's the story behind this ship?

SS Hjejlen (Danish for The Golden Plover) is one of the worlds oldest operative paddle steamer, built in 1861 by Baumgarten & Burmeister, commissioned by a group of citizens headed by paper manufacturer Michael Drewsen. She is used to carry tourists between Silkeborg and Himmelbjerget, but in 1932 she also became a public mail boat.

And with the original steam engine still going strong.
They don't make them as they use to anymore😉

Very much so… I think that a sign there said that the pond/garden had been buried under several feet of sand until 2008.

Hahaha true.
Another fun fact is we have almost no cliffs or rocks, only soft soil.
Only on an island to the far east we have rock😊

Not Arizona. It's an adjacent state called California. : )

I know that Arizona isn't completely flat, but I don't know what mountains that state has. It's been a long time since I drove a U-haul box truck on the interstates through Arizona. I don't recall any mountains, but maybe they were just lurking out of sight.

As for the BMW, that's why the accompanying text was "LBB". I wanted to subtly mention my M2C. ; )

You also have a big island far west of you that has a a lot of ice and rocky coastline. I used to fly over Greenland often on trips two/from San Francisco to Amsterdam. Mostly it was covered in clouds, but once in awhile, it was clear. At sunrise or sunset with a clear sky, Greenland is breathtaking from 40k feet in the air. One of the most awesome sights I've seen from the air. I'll have to dig up an old photo and post it.

Well yea.
But Greenland is Independent in a Strange Way. They get subsidiaries from Denmark but has independent government.
It is part of Denmark and then not.

I have only been in Nuuk once and at the time it was mostly foggy or snowing lightly. I didn't get to see much while I was there.
But can imagine the view from an airplane in the sunrise would be amazing

I looked but cannot find my old photos of Greenland from the air. Google Greenland from an airliner and check out the images. I'd share but all the good ones have copyrights and I'm trying to be good.

I love the Netherlands. One of my favorite restaurants, Castell, is there. Check it out if will be in Amsterdam and you like BBQ.

Scotland is amazing. Rain is forecast, but that is normal!

Pictures are always welcome. Share away.

We (Wife, Son and I) spent Christmas in Amsterdam three years ago, a wonderful city.

We’re going back in September to start our next overseas journey which was planned for August two years ago.

I can highly recommend https://www.vijffvlieghen.nl/en/ (five flies) for a beautiful meal. We will be going again when we’re there.

I just found a few pics
