If you go on Brand in Glendale. Their are a million armenian car brokers, just tell them ur max and they will find somthn for you I promise.
Out of all the cars I've leased, I have been able to talk the price down lower than any of the brokers offered. They get their cars from the dealer so why not cut the middleman out?

There you go.

Key word right there.

I am more than willing to help her find a car (obviously...) and negotiate, but I will not co-sign or use my money.

The car she's driving now is an old Ford Taurus, and her dad thinks it's great blah blah blah.... except when it shakes, rattles, has a rough idle, a CEL....

She is not my girlfriend, I do not see a future with her, so why would I spend money for a car for her?

I'm more than happy to help her find something, but not pay for it.

About a year and a half ago, i was contemplating helping my girlfriend as a co-signer, but I'm happy I didn't, as her income isn't too stable and it was good that she kept her 03 Civic.

If you didn't understand from my wording, yes I do have a girlfriend, and yes I am seeing this other girl as well (along with others, but I seldom see them).
Perks of being in an open relationship and also 'dating'

I will more than happily buy a car for the woman I love, but she is not that woman nor will any of the girls I'm currently with ever be.

Honestly I'm pretty tired talking about my relationship status on here lol... I've been ridiculed, flamed, etc etc..... People are different.

Back to the thread...

We went to Honda and I got a pretty crazy deal (IMO at least):

2011 Civic LX $19XXX MSRP for $0 Drive off and 35 payments of $180 tax included
So essentially only $175/month for a brand new Civic.

We almost got it... but I really want her to see other cars and drive them
This was the first time shes ever test driven a car and been to a new car dealer; don't want to rush it.

Honda is a good car for her too.

Super reliable.

I would love to be there and see her face, no matter what she get's, when they hand her the keys to her first new car.

I see, she's your secondary girl.

Anyway, don't take it too personal. It's just the internet.

When shopping, keep in mind that those deals advertised are not your only options for leasing. Better off to make a few phone calls figure out the actual selling price, then calculate your own payments and anything down based on residuals, mileage, options, etc...

leaseguide.com might be a good place to start.

i think he is leasing a new car, so it is not really a $1500 death trap though. if anything, I think the new compact car is safer than the older gen e46 bmw.

Yup!

We reallllly wanted to sign for that Civic last night... but it felt too rush.

Best to see other cars as well.

I'm disappointed she didn't like the Honda Insight.
They have a 2010 that someone bought but had to return for credit reasons.

usual lease is around 300?
They were going to do 200/month 0 drive off
Had nav, bluetouth, mp3 and all the bells and whistles

If she had liked the Insight we would have signed.
50mpg!

Ford Fiesta is a really attractive option at this price range.

Taxes title and fees will be roughly $500 from the CA I spoke to through email

and 42 month means at the end of 3 years, she'll need to pay DMV fees again

But this is all email talk; in person is what matters.

Thanks for the info

I would never cosign a loan ever again. I cosigned with my fiancee at the time. Baaaaad idea, we got unengaged and I am still on the loan as her credit is total shit. It makes my blood boil just thinking about it.

High 600s, low 700s

I'm thinking her mom should sign for it anyways for insurance purposes

if her mom is on the car, her mom can be the primary driver and she the secondary, saving huge on insurance

Check out a mini dealer and see if they have any 2010's left over. Could probably get a deal on one of those.

esurance is weird

they quoted her wither 192/month OR 1150 for the whole year if paid up front... that's a HUGE difference...
