Get an older 335i.

It will have gummed up Intake Valves and a slipping clutch so you won't be able to go that fast.

I guess her wing of the psychiatric hospital finally got internet access. This is what happens when you crave attention 24/7 but your career gets washed up.

OP -- You will enjoy an E92 as a daily driver and it will be mostly reliable and plenty of fun. And plenty of potential.
Stay safe and have fun!

How do you have 3 years of driving experience at age 16?

Backing up and down the driveway doesn't count.

First of all everyone hop of the OP, can't be mad at him for being able to have these cars at his age. He's not an asshole about it, just asking a damn question. I'm 16 and drive a 328i myself, not every kid with a BMW is an ass.

Anyways to answer your question, the 335i has better mod potential to even be faster than an e9x m3. But the m3 is naturally aspirated, so will more reliable and a different driving experience. So 335i: cheap + much speed potential, m3: reliable and superb driving experience.

Not if you got a mansion with like a mile long driveway.

Get the M3.

And please don't wrap it around a tree. You WILL get into an accident with that thing if you're not careful. Your 3 years of driving experience do not mean jackshit in the real world.

Yup sort of like the guy who takes a few kick boxing classes at his local gym and then tries to take on a pro. You can bet your ass that the chuck norris like round house kick he will take to the face will be beautiful.

How can you afford a BMW at age 16/17? A typical job that a kid can get pays roughly $7-$10/hr, which will barely get you a used Civic. So I hope you already got cash in hand because if you don't then good luck getting a loan at age 16. So all signs point to you buying your vehicle with your parents money because there is no way on God's green earth that you made $20k(roughly what a used 335 with some miles on it goes for) at your age, on your own merits.

At any rate, all the best to you son whatever you choose. Just make sure you have your 'shit happens' account set up. And may your brain fully develop quickly for all other driver's sake.

I know a few kids that started running online businesses at 15/16 and made well over 50k before they turned 18. Granted they were still kids and blew it on depreciating goods instead of appreciating it.

I grew up in Newark so I also knew a few kids who "started their own business".
