The colors are not right unfortunately. I don't know how to get that right. But the kit is self explanatory. Taps into the idrive controller. You need to pin out empty spots to run wires to doors. Then coding.

What's with the cryptic answer? Why is the coding so secretive? Where is it "out there"?

I recall finding a post telling how to modify the values of the OEM colors. Additional colors would be added to the same location I'd assume. I'll see if I can find the post and will report back.

I don't code. I did see it on AliExpress a long time ago in pictures of the led kit but I don't know where it's at. It's not secretive. It's out there. Again, I'm not a coder. Steve coded my car for the led lights.

I bought 5 series ones and trimmed them to fit. It's a lot of work, you have to remove the trim and dremel and glue to fit the led strip. Then I used wire ties and glue to fit the blue trim back in place. See pics in above response.

Thanks for clarifying. I contacted a vendor on Ali WRT coding. I will share the response here.

Ok, after some digging, I found the seller who has a pic of the coding that is required to make it work on NBT cars. I don’t have pictures hosting subscription so I’ll post the link here and hopefully someone can post the picture of the coding. Of note, they are using BMWAi to code. https://m.aliexpress.com/item/100500...b2156d9&gclid=

Sorry the link I found previously is for the X5, which has a BDC module but the F30/F32 doesn't have BDC. I'm guessing it's in FEM. The X5 owners seem to have slightly different folder options depending on software updates. The colors are stored in hex form in R/G/B values. Refer to the below post.

https://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1205119

A few color options and links to find colors in RGB and convert to hex from the same post.

https://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...3#post24418293 (post 124)

The 3 groups (dash, doors, footwell) you have to worry about from same post.

https://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...1#post24459531 (post 140)

This isn't a "how to" for our cars but should get you going in the right direction. Hope this helps.

Hello, if anyone needs the coding values for the BMW models with FEM, for example F30/F31....

HU_NBT2
COLOUR_SWITCH — > active
BRIGHTNESS_AMBILIGHT — > active

((( COLOUR_SWITCH_ENSEMBLE —> 10 entries )))
And: from colour must be change from default to Licht
apparently 11 entries do not work, and the function disappears in the I drive again

FEM
CS_TYPE
two_colours
PIA_DEFAULT_CD Change to color_2
MAPPING_LCI_7_FUNCTION Change to cs_2

Regards
