LA visit - Need help
Need your help guys...
I want to go away with my girl for about a week in August, but something low key and warm like LA, can't go to Miami anymore, been there too many times. Anyway, are there any places that you suggest I should visit around the area of LA and BTW how is the weather out there during that time? Can I at least hit up the beach? Also I'm planning to rent a car, something like a convertible chrysler (LOL), do you think it makes sense or can I just use taxi's if everything you suggest is close? Thanks in advance!!! -Dmitriy |

Take a drive up the PCH... Rt.1. Drive north at least as far as Oxnard... maybe further. Drive the canyon road from Malibu to Agoura Hills. Stop frequently and just enjoy the scenery.

Go to Huntington State Beach unless you love crowds & touristy surf shops.

In LA definitely need to rent a car. Too far for cab rides. SD is doable in a cab. Why are you thinking of renting a Sebring Conv? I'd much rather have a Mustang Conv or even a Solara from Hertz. Budget has Mustangs too. You can always rent a BMW Conv in LA from Budget on Sunset or Budget of Beverly Hills. They have a lot of luxury specialty vehicles.

If your close to Malibu and want to drive canyons check out Stunt RD. If you're in the city check out Westwood (they have an In and Out there lol), Melrose, Venice Beach, 3rd Street, probably the Beverly Center, Santa Monica Peer, I can't think of too many other things but those are cool
