For sure. I remember my grandfather used to say "The way a dog is toward it's master is how a man should be to God." So true.

Good for you for rescuing a dog and moreover for choosing a fully grown, older dog.

Unfortunately, too many of them have to be put out in the shelters because of overcrowding and lack of interest from those who are looking to adopt one.
