4560 4570 Rail pressure plausibility quantitative control
I keep getting:
Fault Code: 004560 Fault Explanation: Rail pressure plausibility quantitative control Fault Code: 004570 Fault Explanation: Rail pressure plausibility quantitative control After the car warms up and under 1/2 throttle. Any chance it could be tune related? Would you start with a HPFP or The rail sensor? If HPFP I assume I should upgrade to the R90 because why not? My fuel filter has less than 5k miles on it. Appreciate the help guys! Thanks in advance.

What you should start with is logging all the related fuelling parameters. Unless you need an excuse the start throwing parts at your car just to find out it was one of your injectors.

Thank you for the advice. I don't think I have software to do that unless carly can.
Both lpfps are new thanks bmw. I can't imagine there is much else to cause low fuel hp rail pressure other than the hpfp or sensor? Could a bag injector dumping fuel do it? |

You’ve got HPFP, flow control valve, all six injectors, return line with restrictor, rail sensor and rail regulator. Injectors can cause rail issues as well. Expensive to shoot in the dark in this case.

Ok thank you very much.
What would I use to log? I am guessing it will help narrow down the issue? My car is at a bmw mechanic right now. I would be happy to give them a hint or direction on what to do before blindly replacing parts |

That was already done and did not help. But it seemed like a good idea which is why I did it before I dropped the coin on the HPFP.

Same issues on hot track days
I received the same codes and a few more yesterday while on the track. I would say I received that after wide open throttle on the straights. Locally it was close to 90F ambient, coolant temps reached about 225F. It eventually shutdown the engine. Wondering if it is all heat related and a safety mechanism. I am tuned. I have only seen these while on the track, otherwise I am fault free.
Fault Code: 004560 / not present Fault Explanation: Rail pressure plausibility quantitative delivery controlled Fault Code: 004570 / not present Fault Explanation: Rail pressure plausibility quantitative delivery controlled I am also getting: Fault Code: 004610 / not present Fault Explanation: DDE: Rail pressure plausibility pressure controlled Fault code: 651 B/ not present Fault Explanation: EKPS: Suction-jet pump function faulty Looking at my torque log, the Fuel Rate (direct from ECU)(L/m) seems to spike looks like 59-81L/m when the motor shuts off. If I turn off / turn back on the ignition while rolling in nuetral the engine will restart. Last edited by alfaivre; 06-18-2020 at 01:54 PM.. Reason: Updated issue |

No, I should have looking back on it I guess not much more. But I never will put hybrids on this SAV so it wouldn't help me I don't believe.
Next is a 6.7L Cummins for me. Time to make some big boi tq! I promised myself i would hit 200k before i sold it and got the truck. Working from home I have been stuck at 150k for a LONG time. Going to take ages to hit 200k.

Sorry fo thread jacking needed to make a 1st post. My 11, 125k mile ,BRR tuned /deleted x5d has been going into reduced power, and coming up with 4560 4570 p0087 in these hot humid summer days as of late.
New fuel filter, all recommended maintenance has been done( vcg, silicone lines, all cbu cleaning, etc etc). My problem is mainly when in low rpm and applying throttle, start seeing a plume of coal from the rear, and car feels like its struggling. ive done some data logging with test0 , anyone care to look at my logs to see whats up? Same 02 errors 004560 and 004570 on e93 last evening. Car was idling for more than an hour with aircon ON when the fault code came up. Its driving though with significant engine power reduction and has the same message on the dashboard. Cleared the codes twice using Carly but the error/fault came back on. I am attaching the live values taken at the time. Would be grateful if any one can point to the specific issue. Thnx

Has anyone here checked their ekpm module? I also have these codes sometimes under wot but I discovered my lpfp was not supplying the fuel needed. No codes either and ekpm seemed to be working fine except it wasnt.

rail codes
What tune? Did you recently upgrade? Here's a list of stuff to check.
1 check fuel filter 2 metering valve on back of hpfp 3 pressure control valve on rear of fuel rail 4 injector failure 5 hpfp failure |
