Just default code the jbbr (using ncsexpert) and that will pick up your cars coding and configure the jbbr so that it all works correctly.

Also make sure that you add the rear blind option to the cars FA (vehicle order) before you do the default code (so that the jbbr will "know" that you now have the blind), again ncsexpert will do this.
Yes, I was doing some pondering about this situation on my long drive back home from work today and basically came to the same theory/conclusion to understand the programming more clearly. Once the JBBF is factory/stock coded to the car it stands to reason that it would basically overwrite whatever modules/options were coded beforehand and code in my options (and that the internals are already there to support my options being an "M" JBBF)

I have a jbbf with rear shade option and xenon/all option if anyone is interested.

I set mine to manually open/close.

I sent you a PM for this. Maybe 2 years too late but I'm curious now and obviously discussing ITT about it would be off topic so...

Hi everyone

Just upgraded to a 2010 E92 and the previous owner has done all the hard work (fitting the blind, sourcing all the correct parts etc)

All I have to do is connect the new junction box and code it according to him.

Can someone help me with a step-by-step guide preferably how to code the blind and what do I need? Thank you in advance.

Hello KClemente! Did you finally solve it? I am planning to retrofit a jbe3 M to my preLCI to make another retrofit that needs the JBE3. But to make it work I also need, as you, to convert my car from K-Line to D-Can. Did you finally get it work? I have found this information of how to do the conversion in a BMW info of how to retrofit an automatic double clutch transmission. Do you think/know it will work after that? I know that I also have to code the jbe3 to my car too.

Part4 ( Replacing JBE ECU ) ( if you have 2007/09 > skip this part )

You can find JBE ECU under the feet of the passenger seat.

First you should replace it on new one JBE2 or JBE3 ECU (61359286790 ).

After this you should integrate D-can bus line for new ECU. ( Old cars have K-line and new ECU will not work )

Change pin on OBD2 socket 7 to 14

and put the additional wire between OBD2 socket pin 6 and JBE ( blue connector ) pin 17

Hi yes, its been a few years but yep K line to D can works just fine. M JBE 3 is what made my sunblind work perfectly.

As far as I am aware, the DME does not perfectly communicate over DCAN as my LED steering wheel did not work until I converted to MSD81 (previously MSD80).

Thank you! That is good to know. With that info, I think I will make the retrofit I was thinking about. But...

Do you remember if you had any other issue/malfunction on the engine before the update of the DME? Any error related on the diagnosis? Asking because I also have a perfomance led steering wheel, but if that will be the only error, it will not matter to me. Because I do not think that it will be a DDE for my car/engine that will support 100% the DCan. My engine is a M47N2.
