Can't. Just another reason I don't like California.

Jokes aside, California is the hardest state to own these cars out of warranty. Like I said, either with a warranty or deleted, and you aren't allowed to delete in California.

So how is the best way to purchase a good used one? Low mileage hardly driven grocery getter or 100k mile dealer molested with a bunch of new parts and a long history of CB procedures. I’m in the market to buy now $$

Having one with a history of service, and some of the emissions parts replaced is not a bad thing or something to be scared of. BMW has extended the warranty to 10/120 for a few of the parts (but not all).

If the car had over 60K and no CBU procedure done, I'd be budgeting for it based on the number of folks on this forum who report issues (mine was done in the 70's for example, 2011 mostly HW miles and plenty of good throttle usage from 33K->70K

I did my own carbon blasting on the my 335d. I suspect if cleaned properly your check engine light would resolve.

I did my own carbon blasting 6 months ago and haven't reset any adaptations yet. No cel's before or after. Should I do adaptations anyway?

I did not reset adaptions. Just reset check engine light. Did not return. Prior to that was injector our if range but the problem was not enough airbdie to CBU.

Sorry in Advance!!!

I have issues with my 2011 335d that I am interested in feedback on, however, I have to post something and wait for an hour before I can evidently post a topic. Sorry for the O/T post.

Cali actually only has smog tests in urban areas.... if you can get it registered to an address in the sticks, you're good forever

As to the amount of money some of you guys are throwing at problems....IMHO, some shops have an "if they keep bringing cash, we'll be SURE to keep taking it (and ask for more regularly)" attitude...
