turned out alright for an Ipad picture.

I actually just got my big camera out for some serious picture taking the other night for the first time in a long time.

Might be getting around to a photo catalogue sooner or later of all the watches.

probably later then sooner however, lots on my plate at the moment.

I have a 3rd speedlight now.... so things can only improve though it seems I can't get the new 600ex-rt to connect with my pocketwizzards, which is a real shame because I don't like shooting with a flash in my hotshoe. Maybe I just haven't hit the right switches yet... maybe I'll try shortly if I'm not being still lazy.

this is a partial collection job, I was very lazy while taking these pictures, so there is nothing artistic about them

also was trying to get all my flashes to sync up properly, so was pretty distracted.

I don't get jealous much... but damn. I'm speechless.

Ok, maybe not speechless... the Zenith is sick, and I'm sure the movement looks amazing. Clean the splooge off the Zurich. The Cartier has a cool crown.

lol, yeah the watches are a dirty mess. I like to wear them more then clean them. I know some people sit around at home and use soap and water and all sorts of plastic things to clean their watches, then seal them in zip lock bags (my dad wraps his watches in paper towel, then zip locks them and writes what watch is in each individual bag....)

I clean my watches about as often as I clean my cars watches are meant to be worn, cars are meant to be driven.

Give me time, and they will gleam. For a week.

the two coolest/prettiest looking movements I have belong to the Zenith and the Nomos. Both are fantastic to look at.

I sometimes regret not getting the white faced Cartier, but I still like the dark colour, keeps it more casual for me.

k, only a tiny bit more effort went into these shots. and a quick wipe of the watches... nothing too serious.

here's some more magic for you chewy.

first picture is of the back of the Nomos and the Zenith.

nice pics Reed!

That Omega looks great in that last photo... always wanted one, but never was really high on my list.

It's always one of the easiest watches to photograph. I can be so absolutely lazy with it and just take a shot and it always looks good. There's a bunch of scratches on the hesalite Chrystal and such but I think just the way the edges of the plastic curve down, it rarely leaves a funny glare.

It's such a simple looking watch on the wrist but neat in photos. Always a pleasing surprise.

If you ever get one, (in my opinion) get the one with the exhibition case back. It has a very pretty movement, much like the one in the Zenith, only that because its a manual wind, you can always see all of it... Sadly mine isn't an exhibition case back so I don't get to see the pretty internals... Sometimes I just want to grab that one too . just so I have the option...

Thanks, was one of my first serious watches. Came with a black strap, but I put a brown strap with it, felt that it would go better with the silver dial.

The problem with pictures is you can't see the depth and layers, and that zenith has a lot of both. So pretty in person.

My bigger purchases have come from a jeweller in Philadelphia. Someone my dad had been working with for a few years and passed on to me, otherwise a local in Waterloo for the easier stuff to get my hands on. But I get the deals because I do endless research and am not afraid to walk away from their offer. They want the sales, so they will play along usually

Where are you located? If at all possible, try to avoid watch places in malls for the most part. Some will play ball, but I usually get the run around by them and never a straight answer.

You looking for anything in particular? I can check around my local depending on brand.
