I do like my snap caps although I usually just use them to simulate a dud while shooting at the range.

Yeah- I detected the jerk dry-firing with a laser on both the glock and 1911. Aiming at something 15-20' away, the dot will jerk right about 2 or 3 inches, even pulling VERY slowly. Pulling with my joint makes it more like 1/4"- I think it applies a little left pressure when the trigger breaks.

I thought I just had a bad pull until I was messing with my friends 1911 and he with my Glock. He had the same issue, and I was dead-steady with the 1911.

I find I actually get less jerk if I pull with my first joint instead of my fingerprint, but that's less natural. Are there any techniques or mods to correct this issue?
Slow, controlled, smooth (but firm) press to the rear.

For rapid follow-up shots with a striker-fired pistol, definitely make sure you are only allowing the trigger back to the point of reset.

And you can't really compare a striker-fired trigger or even a DA/SA trigger pull to the pull on a finely tuned 1911 SA pull.

Pretty much the same proposed legislation that failed to go to vote in the IL Senate this past week is now being snuck into a Sunday session in the House as Amendment #1 to SB2899. This pretty much does away with every common, and not-so, handgun except < 50oz wheel guns. Not sure what sticks would be left, but even 10/22s would be illegal.

Just picked up a glock 17 RTF2 9mm (my first glock) and a few high cap mags, even a 33 rounder. Also Picked up a walther p22 for training since .22 is so cheap. I also bought the factory walther laser, and a guide rod ,laser for the glock.

I have wanted one for a long time, you have rifle capacity, velocity, and flat trajectory in a handgun. It's awesome to have those capabilities in a handgun. But now they are impossible to find, unless you pay double online (around $2,200) and the ammo has gone up to over a dollar per round, so it's becoming impractical to shoot unless you have money to burn, but it would be a good safe gun as an investment.

I hate that damn gun. Have killed people I know here infamously known as the "Mata policias" (Cop killer) because can penetrate the body armor used in most of the law enforcement departments.

I have one, the only polymer pistol I currently own. I'd never consider it for everyday carry though as it's toward the large side, however the thing shoots where you point it(always helpful). Also, IMO, as an example of industrial art, the Storm is exquisitely beautiful.

Have fun in class.

Cheers,
O

Top of my handgun wish list, but I think the ammo cost is the deal breaker. What a fantastic gun.

P30 here I come then.

I have heard that the pistol has that reputation down there. There have been a few attempts to ban them here in the states, but they never work. My understanding though is that the blue tip SS197SR ammo is not supposed to be armor penetrating, but the bad guys are probably getting their hands on the AP rounds.

Midwayusa.com has 5.7 ammo for less. They're out of stock at the moment, but they have 2000 rounds for 890.99 or 50 rounds for 23.99.

Guys,

Go to the link below, enter your personal information & ZIP code and it will automatically email all of your local, state & federal government representatives.

Just trying to get people to go to this site and support the 2nd Amendment, it's never too late to get back our rights/freedoms.

Done.

Guys, you've got to contact your local reps every week for the next 4-8 weeks, "encourage" them to respect the 2nd Amendment. Phone and/or email. Be polite, be firm. Don't sit on your hands, later-on find yourself saying, "Huh, what happened?".

Also, for an indefinite time, you can procure an NRA life-membership for $300.00 - 1-888-678-7894

Now is the time lads, everybody in.

Cheers,
O
