And as for those of you that are saying why not talk to these people first, well, I worked with someone that had a near miss with one of these idiots, and when confronted, they just laughed at him and drove off.

A lot of these guys believe they can do just what they want.... and sadly, the lack of any desire by the authorities to prove them wrong only compounds the problem.

It's the double standards employed as well, as I can guarantee that if I drove into Knightsbirdge on a summer eve in my 135 and drove like these guys do, I would be prosecuted by the Police within a very short space of time.

Some personal observations on this.

New money messing with old money, you see it everywhere. Old money does not like how the new money expresses itself in public and you do not get as old as London money that is for sure.

The Arabs/Muslin are the biggest hypocrite as you can get. Let see their religions and beliefs say they are not allow to do any of what you see in video, but it is okay as long as they do not do it in their own country and since they have money it is okay.

Think about what will happen when their oil runs out, and it will, their whole economy is based on oil. The other problem they have is they are investing in the US and other Euro countries. So they are dependent on what happens in our countries. They will learn what other countries like Japan learned when you overly invest in the US. When our economy tanks they will tank even harder. American do not have any problem selling over inflated property to people from other countries and when things go bad, buy it back at pennies on the $.

Yup, not just in London.. their other favorite destination is Beirut (it is closer).
They march in there thinking they are the best thing to happen to the world since indoor plumbing. They sincerely lack common courtesies sometimes. When their season is in full swing, certain areas become a no-go zone just to avoid them.

As for the Ramadan period, they basically have to fast so long as the sun is up. But what these guys do is they sleep ALL day and wake up 10mins before they can eat, pig out like it was Thanksgiving on steroids every day until Ramadan is over. Beirut caters to it by having some Lebanese restaurants open 24hours during that period. They miss the whole point.

But on the other side, I feel for them with the cops harassing them and people spitting on their cars or what not. Not cool.

Not exactly.

The police would actually love to do something about it, it's the politics higher up the food chain that dictate they prioritise their resources on other things.....

I dont feel bad for the old people. They are some of the wealthiest families in London and complain about the wealthiest families from the Gulf. Everyone but them enjoys the economic boost.

There was a comment made they never spoke to the drivers. I guarantee you in a weird way they look forward to this every year so they can all get together and complain about something.

Also there were so many racist undertones it was almost sick to watch at some points. And when the old guy got hit with the umbrella he didnt have to be a dick, his reaction to that was enough for me to smile knowing he cant sleep at night because the roar of a V10 is shaking his precious china.

Just my 2 Cents!

i think its old money being very jealous about new money. if they have such a big problem with this issue, they can always move to the country side and live on a ranch. you cant expect to live downtown in a busy shopping district and demand absolute silence all the time.

i live downtown in montreal and it gets noisy as hell here sometimes but thats the price you pay for living downtown. i am not going to complain about it.
