That's a good article, I'll bookmark it. I think when it's time I may go with a Springfield TRP and do some custom work, for what a stock Sig would run.

It's not about using them to make the purchases, it's that they are censoring what we are allowed to see. They are also censoring a ton of other items. What is to stop them from only showing you products that they are affiliated with. Just me $0.02 I guess.

They removed it from Google SHOPPING search results. You can still Google search weapons. No one uses GS.

I know. Shopping is the only impact right now... What about next month when they decide that showing you the link is inappropriate? It just concerns me. Where does it stop? Oh well /Rant

So, it's hot as balls in good old FL today! How's the weather where you are?

I'm not exactly sure the temperature of balls, but I'm sure it was close .

I doubt Google will stop their actual search engine from showing weapons, they would take a drastic hit in traffic if that were the case. Google is too smart to go and do that since their traffic is their leverage. GS is a good way to tell people their opinion without hindering their business too much. Pretty much solidifies GS's future as terrible, though.

By the way, you should consider the Rock Island Tactical 1911. $579ish maybe a bit cheaper and it's a fantastic gun. It instantly became my favorite pistol.

i used Google Shopping to shop for guns all the time. It's the easiest way to compare prices on things and especially guns. You type in the exact model and it pulls up 15-20 results, so you can see who has the cheaper price.

Just because of this move LOTS of small gun shops lost LOTS of business. Most of the gun shops are pretty small mom & pop shops. Their websites are terrible without much SEO, so finding them via regular searches does not always work. Google Shopping brought them business though.

Ammo is best bought locally. Even if it is cheaper online, the weight ends up making it just as expensive as local stores.

That was a good read, thanks.

This thread is making a $3000 1911 seem necessary

Damn, the Ed Brown CC-SS and CC-SB are beautiful, and only $3500

It does seem a little strange to have a gun named Ed

My current handgun list:
S&W M&P Shield
S&W 686 4"
F*cking Custom 1911 (thanks guys!)
Sig 238 and 938 are also interesting

I want some long guns too, but I have nowhere to play with them, and this is 'the handgun thread'

Well, that isn't exactly true, the notary was at my house today, and I set up a wire transfer today for this (well, the down payment):

not bragging, just excited, I'll take it down if anyone objects.
