Chinese "M3"

Oh my, I see VERY overt "influences" of BMW, Mercedes and Porsche cars

And of course the obligatory BBS CH wheels to make sure we know this car is supposed to resemble german cars in nature

Not to mention the "M3" on the license plate. It never ceases to amaze me how such smart people put little effort into innovation, ingenuity or originality.

Might as well call it Me-2.

As kingbriani mentioned, it doesn't look half bad....one of the chinese automakers best efforts of late. I don't think they went out of their way to copy in wholesale. There are identifiable bits but overall a commendable effort....

a commendable effort to encourage people to burn that car
yeah 2 thumbs down for chinese auto-makers, stop copying and please send some smart people to design school. at least come up with an original design..i dont hate china but when i went there, my tour guide told me that china has a fighter plane thats called xiaolong 04...an exact replica of F-16 with Su-27 rudder and F-4 or F-5 jet engine placement....
how can it be called an effort or an innovation when the bits and pieces look like they were taken right of other manufacturers' designs? in general, i think chinese cars arent applaudable but laughable
and i hope those bbs ch rims are real

oh give them a break they have a lot of catching up to do...but seriously, sure they copied some bits but its a far cry from when they were copying cars in their entireity and merely changing the details.

I still maintain the overall design is not too shabby especially when you consider the juvenility of their auto industry. Either way you cut it, China will be an automotive powerhouse in the decades to come.

yeah they need a lot of catching up to do...then again you're right, everything we have today is always made in china, made in taiwan, made in vietnam, made in honduras, made in mexico, made in indonesia etc.
maybe indonesia should have their own premium car manufacturer too, not timor though

Brilliance Automotive. They have a deal with BMW to build domestic market 3 and 5 series cars in China, already been doing it for over 3 years. From an article I read a while back, an auto journalist said that the cars drive exactly the same, feel the same, doors close the same, etc... the only way to tell it's a Chinese built BMW according to him was to either look at the Chinese iDrive menu or the chickens running past the hood of the car.

Edit: Even Audi builds cars in China through a joint venture with First Auto Group, they've been doing it longer than BMW.

I wonder why American Car makers cant do the same, when would be doing themselves alot of favors instead of annually coming up with lousy cars. Good for their investors too
