Whats the best thing to do when you catch someone keying your car?

Knowning they might run, should u beat him up then call the police? or can they sue u back for kicking their asses?

how would u handle the situation?
i know u will feel alot better after some whooping but ur car is still keyed and still need repair money.. how would u go about that?

easy.....shoot him in the face.... but no, id prolly be like excuse me sir, that looks like fun, may i join you? then beat them up and report him to the cops, after getting some money for repairs.

i think i would act like i wasnt the owner then completely destroy him....lol

FIRST, I'd get a picture of him w/ my camera phone for evidence. Then...

Grab him, pin him, give him a few b*tch slaps to the face, a kick to the sack, a good scolding, and then call the popo. Sweet satisfaction shall ensue.

sedate him, tie him up and put him in your spacious trunk and drive to the nearest wildlife sanctuary park where you will procede to give him 10,000 tiny papercuts and spray him down with copious amounts of lemon juice and rubbing alcohol, then leave him bleed in the park for wild animals to feed on.

what if he's bigger than you and looks intimidating?
In most cases, I'm sure the ones keying your car is probably some dork with no GF, no money, no personality, no life, and no class.

i probably won't get physical at all.
i'll just call the cops.
if he is walking away i'll just follow him.
and if he is taking off with his car, i'll just get the license plate #.

+1 on following him till he gets in his car etc after immediately calling the police.

But if I was bigger then him I would likely pin him on the ground and call the police.

If you'll notice the compartment on the driver's door opens to reveal a perfect place to keep a compact pistol.

True, but that's only when you don't know who did it.
Tell the officer that you want to charge him/her with vandalism.
Depending on where you live, they'll have to pay fine or some jail time or some community service.
Teach them a lesson.

And how exactly are you going to get the person's name?

Simply ask them?

...and even if you do have their first and last name, there could be other citizens in the area that have the same name.

They're not gonna hunt him/her down.

Unless the cops arrest the person on the scene, the insurance will be the people taking care of the situation.
