Cricket Fans?
I'm just going to throw it out there and see if anyone watches/follows cricket.
Plenty going on in the world of cricket, with England holding on to the Ashes and an epic duel b/w India and S. Africa |

Not a rabid follower, but i am a South Africa fan and i watch the IPL. Not too thrilled with Smith's batting in this series against India tho.

I rarely watch any matches live - nothing is televised here, and I don't feel like paying to watch on Willow TV. Like you the only time I ever watch is around the WC and IPL. I'm really curious to see where everyone ends up, now that all the icon players are essentially free agents. As for the current test, Kallis has been an absolute brute. If SA wins this test it'll be pretty much due to him alone. Tomorrow should be a pretty interesting day - India basically need Sehwag to go berserk if they want to win. |

Hahaha yea i get shit for it but i don't care. My cousin is a hardcore India fan and naturally i can't be on the same side. Who do you support?
The auctions should be crazy. Im surprised that some amazing players were let go: Gilchrist, Kallis, Gambhir, etc. I hope rajasthan don't get cheap. My parents subscribe to indian channels through dish and they'd buy the IPL pkg, so usually id go there to watch. But apparently willow is part of that now so hopefully we can watch for 'free'. My mom is big on the ipl and that kinda helps

That's awesome that you can watch at home - last year I paid for Willow, which was crap but at least I could keep up and watch replays. It just kind of sucks following a sport that no one else in the US cares about - there's an Aussie bar in the city that shows IPL and WC games, but that's about it. Off topic, but have you tracked the Vette? That thing is such a beast. I chased one on a track for 10 or so laps, really had to work hard keep pace with it! I'd like to see if they can keep their form going into the WC, in which case we may have a proper 3-horse race (England, SA, India) |

The IPL auction did not disappoint! KKR coming out strong. Looks like everyone is missing some bowling though.

Hey you never know. Injury, poor form, inavailability all play a factor. Plus the local uncapped boys are gonna have to carry the teams home.
People wrote of Rajasthan the first year and they went all the way. You never know. Besides Rajasthan look like they really could fail this time around. No money and no players. F!cking dumbasses!

You mean the never-was who pretends to be a has-been? Yea i agree. It looks like they picked up some local guys but they will still need a miracle.
Meanwhile a tight contest between india and saf. saf needs to win more damnit, its home soil afterall.

Yeah, I expected SA to wrap up this series quickly. They definitely have the advantage - India's playing without, arguably, their top 3 batsmen, and Yuvraj + Raina are still in pretty poor form.
At least it keeps things exciting - the 'final' on Sunday should be fun. Might be even a prelude to the WC, since I don't see any of the other teams making it to the WC final in March. |

Woot! It was a nail biter at the end but we hung on. I must say I'm surprised how well Pathan played, if only he had hung on a few more overs India coulda won.
Overall I enjoyed this tour. First time I've watched tests and odis in a long time.
