Probably be a few more weeks before the fan boys calm down, and the "wish they could" get bored.

And the comparisons are bound to happen.
The G37 is a brand new car.
It's within the BMW 335i Coupe's price range ($5-7K) and compete directly with the 335i.

It's the same with any other competing car...like the Lexus IS350 to the 335i sedan.

Once there are several tests that compare the G37 to the 335i Coupe the discussions will begin to cease, especially if each and every test has one car consistently beating the other. There is not much more to talk about when everyone knows the truth.
At this point, it's pretty clear already the 335i accelerates faster, but we need more track/canyon tests to come to a full conclusion as to which handles better.

Even if the G37 handles slightly better than the 335i, it probably won't be enough to make up for it's acceleration deficit. My guess is the 335i will beat the G37 on most any track, with the exception of short, tight cornered tracks where the lack of the LSD is going to hurt the 335i badly and not give the 335i the room to use it's power and acceleration advantage.

Plus with the PROcede the 335i will humiliate any G37 without a supercharger. And there probably won't be many supercharged G37's running around!

i'll bite

once your at 5k or more with the G your getting close to max torque so if you keep the car in the powerband the torque will be much closer to the 335i engine. as we know the glory thing is the 335i has max torque at 1500 or close to it... so there is alot of room for the 335i to move.

I like to keep things fair and apples to apples compare similar cars... not modded. there's no doubt a procede will romp a g37. but when you compare a FI g37 vs a procede it'll still be the same. 400 horses with both engines whats the point , it'll still be a drivers race.

bottom line straight line performance the 335i has the g37 beat... track time I'll wager the g37 has the 335i beat. similar performance where the g has the LSD and the 335i has the potential to overheat (even with oil cooler).
