Overheat warning
I had an Overheat warning the other day so I started trying to track down the cause. Water pump is fine, fan is fine and the thermostat is not too old (so I doubt it is the culprit), so I’m wondering if there’s a sensor somewhere else that’s failing. Any ideas?
Related: is there a way to add coolant temperature to the gauge display with perfekt toolbox? I added the M style velocity read out. I’m hoping there’s something similar. |

To view water temp in real-time, access it via the hidden menu. Google "e90 hidden menu" for instructions.
07.00 KTMP-MOM (Kühlmittel Temperatur im Moment) Current coolant temperature My guess is you have water pump that is on the way out. Mine worked off/on for several weeks before it went out completely. |
