Thump thump thump sound when turning left from a stop?

Hey guys.. been noticing a few weird things going on lately in my 2011 328xi with 78k miles.

1) It's felt like the ride has got a bit rougher when hitting bumps particularly on the right side of the car. Maybe one of the shocks is shot?
2) I now noticed that if the car is stopped at an intersection, and I make a left turn, I hear and feel a bit of a "thump thump thump thump" sound as I start driving while the wheels are turned. Could that also be a shock issue? I checked the wheels to make sure the lugs were tight and they seemed fine.
3) I noticed a bit of a rattle as the rpms spin up when starting from a stop. It rattles for a second in the middle of the first gear and then does it again as I get into the second gear. I think this is unrelated to the issue above but almost sounds like a muffler is rattling?

Any thoughts on these issues? I am about to buy a new car within the next month and plan on trading this one in so I really didn't want to spend any money on repairs before then. But if this is a safety issue, I want to get it handled regardless. Thanks!

Maybe check to see if the rubber in the top strut mount cracked open? Are the CV boots leaking?

1) Look for oil leaking from top of strut. Could also be a variety of bushings & joints.
2) Sounds like a CV joint.
3) Sounds like a heat shield, etc.

Nothing looks weird from the top of the front struts but I'm sure that only tells part of the story. CV joint is interesting.. it may be that. If it is the CV joint, how long do you think I have before it's a real problem?

Any other possibilities?

thanks

Go to a parking lot.

Crank the wheel all the way to the left at a stop, drive forward. If it clicks a lot/hops, your CV is shot.

Do the same thing on the other side.
