I installed LED bulbs everywhere and used Bimmercode to update coding. The bulb options should be available on the main page of the Rear Electronic Module. Just toggle the warm + cold checks to off, and the lamp types to LED.

Instead of starting a new thread, I just coded my m4 and did the button modification and i have the rear fog light indicator on the dash when the button is activated, but the rear fogs do not turn on in the tail light. Anyone have suggestions? 2018 M4
The coding is correct, went over it a few times to verify. TIA |

REM / 3063 MAPPING_NEBELSCHLUSSL_L_FUNCTION MAPPING_NEBELSCHLUSSL_R_FUNCTION These should both be set to 0E (fog light), which is the default value Also, silly question, is there actually a working bulb installed on each side? Your rear lights are LED but I think they still use the H21W halogen bulb for the fogs. Check there's not just an empty socket. |

Rear fogs do not work on the LCI tails Been there done same as you early on. Wasted $$ on a new OEM headlight switch sold it on the forum to recoup

I had mistakenly assumed that the 2018 F82 would have the same setup as the 2018 F30. Not so, the F30 still has the H21W for the fog light, while the F82 is all-LED. Since this applies to the Euro models as well as the US, and the former must have a fog light available somehow, it may well be that the US F82 can be coded for this function.

In my case I have 2015 F32 - retrofitted to the US LCI tails (same as F82 US LCI tails) and the professional well known coder from this forum that I was working with to do remote coding stated there is no way to code these specific tails for rear fogs...

I was able to figure it out. The rear fog lights use the same lights as the Rear Brakeforce Lights which are the turn signals. I noticed BMW moved the Brakeforce lights in LCI models when I read the manual. I’ll post pics later

Too bad you sold the switch. Rear fogs DO work on LCI taillights, but the coding for 4 series is different from the 3 series.
https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1410454 Edit: I noticed that yours are retrofitted to a pre-LCI car. That may be different. |

Hi Guys,
Necroing an old thread, but I jsut got my Euroswitch and tried setting up my rear fogs. My left one works fine, but my right one activated my reverse light and not the fog light. I'm not sure if it is a coding issue and I cannot read german, so don't know what I should be looking at in expert mode of bimmercode on android. Here are a couple of pictures. |

So to reply to my own post, I restored the REM module setting and then reapplied the coding for the rear fogs. It worked this time without issue.
Thank you for the code. It worked well. |
