Complete rubbish! Rubio's injury occurred as he was trying to stop. Kobe does not make contact with Rubio's knee....and why would Kobe want to bang knees with Rubio anyhow.
As far as throwing his leg during shots, well Kobe does not do that to draw fouls if that's what you're implying. They don't call that anymore, but even when they did, I can't recall of a single instance where Kobe drew a foul in that manner.
Throwing of the leg is more of his natural shooting motion. In the third quarter of that game, he did it multiple times. This doesn't mean that he's trying to create space....if you glance threw youtube, I'm sure you'll find plenty of instances when Kobe's leg comes up with the defender no where to be found.
Now is that a foul on Kobe? It's not called so it doesn't really matter. If they did call that on Kobe, I'm sure he'd reform nice and quick.
