You don't need to break in performance friction pads. Put them on a few days before the event so they can clean off the rotors. Take it easy in the first season or two and they should be good to go.

Would recommend getting rotors without cross drilled holes. Rotors form micro cracks from thermal stress if you are fast enough, and those cross drilled holes serve as stress propagators. Don't forget to get some fresh brake fluid in each caliper too.
