In the US in 2017, the Cadillac XT5 outsold every Benz, BMW, Audi, Porsche or Bentley model, except for the Mercedes C-Class. Cadillac SUVs sell quite well. The XT4 gets revealed next month and will probably sell extremely well too.

Cadillac CARS aren’t selling well (in the US), but the same can be said for most brands.
Yay for Trump quote! Not.

I don't know why I bothered to actually find all the numbers but hey... whatever.

156,440 car total sales for Cadillac in 2017 for the US. Cadillac sold 356,457 worldwide. Which is backed up by that link you posted above.

68,312 for the Caddy XT5 in 2017 total for US. First month of January 2018, 3,989 total XT5 sold in US.

Just for the hell of it, I looked at the Cadillac ATS which had a total sale figure of 13,100 for 2017. The larger Cadillac CTS sold 10,344 for 2017.

As reported by the thread below and by the downloadable PDF from BMW Press Website

X3 in January 2018 sold 2,954 total in NA. The year of 2017, X3 sold 40,691.
X5 in January 2018 sold 3,230. The year for 2017 for the X5 sold 50,815.
BMW 3 series for 2017 sold 59,449. (Which is down a LOT from 2016 still)
BMW 4 series for 2017 was 39,634.
BMW 5 series for 2017 sold 40,658. (Which is up from 2016)

BMW of North America year end for 2017 sold 352,790. BMW itself, worldwide sold 2,088,283 (Not including Mini and Rolls-Royce). BMW M on it's own (sorta?!) sold 80,795. Year wise, it was an increase for BMW as well.

So yes, the XT5 did sell better compared to the Macan, X3 and Q5. However, the % that GM put up is deceptive because of how much they totally sold. Asking for a 10% sale increase for a year for BMW whom sold more then 2 million on it's own, means they will have to sell way more compared to the 15% increase stated by Cadillac. 4% increase for BMW is not as much as the Benz total being at 2.3 million from what I found which was a 10% (or close to it) increase from their 2016 numbers. Benz's is more impressive considering the amount of increase sales they got. BMW being 2nd, still got more sales but got out paced by Benz for 2nd year in a row.

SUV and Crossovers are the thing. It isn't too hard to see this considering every manufacturer is trying to get one, apparently even Ferrari because they fell behind Lamborghini.
