Post For Someone Who Was an Adult during the Vietnam War.

Hi, I am to conduct an interview for an assignment in my AP US History class. If you were an adult and remember your feelings/decisions during the Vietnam War and would like to answer 10 questions, I will be eternally grateful. If you would like to keep your responses private, a PM would work.

How old were you when the Vietnam War was going on?

Do you remember your initial reaction to hearing of the war?

Did you side with a certain general opinion during the beginning of the war? Which and for what reasons?

Did you know anyone that was drafted to fight? If so, what was his opinion on fighting?

As the war progressed, did your opinion on the war change?

How often and in what ways was your daily life affected?

Would you blame anyone for the turnout of the war? Who?

Did you feel it was the responsibility of the U.S. to protect democracy in Asian countries?

If you were in charge of the war effort, would you have done anything differently?

What should we learn from the war?

My history teacher said that you could show creativity in finding your person to interview and I think that asking over a BMW Car forum would be the the ultimate creative interview location.
