Perhaps, but you wouldn't be happier for it. Look like how they turdified the zune (which is great hardware but has the software from hell) or the xbox360 (which has reasonable software but the hardware keeps crapping out)

I don't believe that Microsfot has ever done more than the absolute minimum required to get your money. In fact, I think they're always doing slightly less but get the sale anyway because you've got their other stuff aswell.
haha ok and the original ipods were from heaven? They were clunky with ugly buttons. The batteries had a huge fiasco. Also a great deal of Apple's old computers were horrible to work with. That is why many tech guys and general people have a stigma attached to Apple computers. Only now it is slowly going away. Also even a recent event of some Apple laptops batteries catching on fire.

So all companies have their bad things. Again Apple is no different.

Also I love how you give a link to a Wikipedia article. Is that because you have no knowledge on the history? I could have easily linked to a history article.
