You made the right choice. It'll be more fun than the GT-R.
I've driven the GT-R (2009 and 2014) and the '14 is definitely better in every way (I got it to oversteer).
The SLS is aweful on the street (rides like it has no suspension at all), but on a track it should be perfect.
