Oh boy, you're bringing out repressed memories!
In 6th or 7th grade, we were playing dodgeball in co-ed gym class. I was goofing around with my friends when I heard the teacher say that to "spice things up", we were allowed to run up to the line in the middle of the court and take a jump from there, allowing you to be in the opposing team's side when throwing the ball.
When I finally got the ball, I sprinted to the line and jumped as far as I could. I swear that in mid-jump I saw everyone's face change to confusion and laughter. The gym teacher yelled "Hey dumbass! I said only the girls can jump!". You can imagine what the teasing was like!
Another quick school story, this was freshman year in college and I was talking to a female adviser who wanted to schedule time for us to meet. I replied with "sure, just tell me when you can open up for me and I'd be happy to come". I will never forget the face she made! I apologized and corrected myself, she was very cool and said she understood what I meant.
