I've never ran into an ex-girlfriend with a current girlfriend. However, I have ran into several girls I've slept with while with a current girlfriend. Usually the girlfriend had no idea. There was one time my girlfriend at the time did know I had sex with a chick we ran into, and I didn't hear the end of it for a week. It wasn't so much as awkward as it was a nuisance. I can imagine running into an ex while with the current would be quite awkward, especially in some circumstances.
