*** Official BimmerPost Photo Contest #36: Get Grounded

Official BimmerPost Photo Contest #36: Get Grounded

BACKGROUND:

Since this is a relatively easy theme, I hope that there will be more submissions. I also wanted to steer your submissions towards taking new photos, as opposed to digging through your archives. I figured most people don't take photos so close to the ground.

THEME:

Hug the dirt. Get down on your knees.

No, don't do what Badger usually does in these situations, but get down low, point your lens upwards if you want, or focus on the small things around your feet, and take a photo! Hopefully when you get your camera really close to the ground you'll start seeing things differently.

One caveat is that it must be obvious that your camera is close to the ground. For example, you should not submit a photo while your camera is on the ground, pointed up at a plane in the sky. It won't be obvious that you shot it with the camera near the ground or while standing.

Remember, the things you want to capture and the composition will be important! You'll see some pretty cool perspectives with wide angle lenses, or macros with telephotos.

Have fun with it! Good luck!

IMPORTANT DATES:

Entries must be submitted to this thread no later than Monday, May 30th @ 11:59 PST. Voting begins the following day and ends on Saturday, June 4th.

RULES:

1. Any interpretation of the theme that falls within Bimmerpost.com rules is welcome.
2. You must be the person that took the photo. Previous photos are acceptable as long as you are the one that captured the image.
3. One submission per contest.
4. Images must be no larger than 800 px in any direction. Links to larger images are allowed but you must have one that is under 800px for the poll.
5. All contestants must host their own pictures (which includes hosting them on Bimmerpost).
6. All images must have a title.
7. While post processing in Photoshop is allowed, adding or removing parts of the picture is not. In the event a photo is suspected to be "photo-chopped," the contestant will be asked to provide the original picture.
