It's not terribly slow. The stigma attached to the V6 muscle cars really hurts them a lot. It used to be that you'd see a V6 Stang or Maro and know it was dogshit slow. They're no screamers nowadays, but they're on a whole different level than they used to be.
I agree about the matte black. That would be a nice accent treatment for this color.
