What are your go-to scotches when you drink - I'm curious. Always looking to expand my horizons.
Its funny, I always disliked the Lagavulin / Laphroig, etc type scotches...anything from Islay really as well, as I basically just felt it tasted like smoke with a strange medicinal finish...if one could call it that.
But then my buddy (without consulting me naturally) got me a bottle of Laphroig for being a groomsman and while it was tough initially, by the end I wasn't minding it. And a month or two after, I actually ordered a glass in a restaurant because I felt like it. Still, my favourites lie in the Speyside region, I don't think I've tasted a scotch from there where I said "That's not for me".
