I know about the M3 (it was already in Prologue, actually) and i did like playing it a lot but GT4 had the E90 330i and other mainstream cars. I was just expecting more newer ones like it. The Chrome line version we will get is just the M3 with a wing, not really a GTS.
To me, it does not really matter, satisfied to buy the collectors edition and like it for the next year or two. As a Hondamentalist first and foremost, still immensely happy. The people that are complaining must be bitter about waiting so long and being disappointed but they'll come round.
