A friend's neighbor used to serve as a foster parent -- usually had 3 kids in the house. One year they hosted a Russian exchange student. Cute girl, too wholesome. That family did it strictly for the money and their house was the epitome of white trash. The student spent most of her time at my buddies house. No, he didn't bang her.
Point is, they always got paid for this kind of stuff.
Would I host if I had to cover the cost of another mouth and likely clean up after them? Hell no.
Now, my SIL hosts college kids and post-grads who come to Vanderbilt for a semester or so. They pay rent and it's always worked out well. Much different situation though.
