Mark, the Tammy still has a place for me. It is a fantastic lens for trains planes and automobiles. It is much easier to carry around at an airshow for instance. For birds though, the auto focus is kind of helpless, especially on the 1D4 as AI servo doesn't even work right.
The 500, even with the TC on it, just locks on almost instantly. I just need to work on my Popeye arms  |
Yeah, keep working on the arms, it's well worth it.
