Well, generally speaking Lexus tends to attract an older, wealthier crowd (IIRC Lexus owners have the second highest median annual income among the "upper middle class" luxury brands like Lexus, Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Porsche, etc. (
new Porsche owners = highest with a median annual income for 911 owners around $400k/year)) where driving dynamics/exciting body exteriors aren't high priority.
I mean, have you guys ever been to Luby's? It's a chain restaurant geared towards the
really old, and their food across the board is utterly bland and tasteless
BMW tends to be geared more towards the 25-50 crowd.
Mercedes I'd argue is geared towards the older crowd, but the AMG variants draw some younger guys in (although not
too young because many of the new AMGs are reasonably expensive).
